Best All-Around Lens For Everyday Photography

Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 has a diagonal view of 74°20′ – 27°50′. The lens provides a beneficial focal length in a compact and lightweight package. EF-M makes a perfect travel companion since it is very lightweight and compact.

It fits in the camera back easily, and it can handle most situations with ease. Optically, it is not an “L” series lens, but the performance it offers is quite good.

Pictures appear quite sharp all across the frame. Although the lens struggles a bit in the low-light settings, at an f/3.5, it gave good results, although it is not the best solution for videos due to its variable aperture.

With an extended range lens, the lens in matter s not the fastest lens out there, especially at the zoom end, but I’ve not had too many problems getting shots with decent lighting.

The auto-focus seems quick compared to my competition in the same range. The sharpness has been outstanding at all focal lengths, regardless of the aperture.

Image stabilization is incredibly useful, so even at 1/8s at 150 mm, I could get fantastic pictures. I would only like to object to a plastic mount and the lack of a hood and soft pouch.

However, since it offers a reliable performance all-around, I am willing to forgive it.

Best Telephoto Lens For Wildlife Photography

Canon EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 is constructed of 17 elements in 11 groups with a diagonal angle of view of 27° 50′ –7°50′. The autofocusing system has an adjustment for a full-time manual, and the closest focusing distance is 1,0 m. The lens is relatively small and compact, considering its telephoto capabilities and focal length.

For comparison, it is much lighter compared to the “L” series lenses. From an ergonomic perspective, I like the zoom ring that operates smoothly and uses lens zoom range a pleasant experience.

One of the first things I noticed with this lens was the excellent contrast and color rendering that work provided me with perfect images. Pictures were of decent sharpness even at an f/4, but the quality improved even more at an f/6.3.

Image stabilization is a needed addition, however. Only with IS and tripod, I could capture concrete pictures of the night-sky or fast-moving objects. For everyday situations, however, calm hands and image stabilization are enough.

The broad focal range works quite well in capturing a variety of conditions. Because the lens comes at an affordable price and offers nearly a high-end performance, it is a great deal.

Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 comes with a built-in Macro Lite that can supply light to photos in case of need. It helps a great deal in getting a better sense of depth and dimension.
